私の生き甲斐　　まるで砂のように
Watashi no ikigai maru de suna no you ni
My purpose in life, just like sand,
風に流れていく　　形だけ残して
Kaze ni nagareteiku katachi dake nokoshite
is [to be swept away] in the wind, leaving only a visage.

灰色で蓋をした　　真冬の曇り空
Haiiro de futa wo shita mafuyu no kumorizora
It closed the lid with the color grey, the midwinter cloudy sky.
色を重ねすぎて　　濁ってしまったの？
Iro wo kasanesugite nigotteshimatta no?
Did the colors [become] too many and get muddy?
誰かが私の心を描こうと
Dareka ga watashi no kokoro wo egakou to
When someone goes to paint my heart,
筆を重ねて　　失敗したみたい
Fude wo kasanete shippai shita mitai
the brush[strokes] pile up and they seem to fail.

通り過ぎた日々となっていくのかな
Toorisugita hibi to natteiku no kana
Will [these] be the days that have past?

Sore de mo tsunoraseteiku anata e no nikushimi wo tabanete kanashimi to watashi wa ikiru

Kono mune no naka suna ni natteiku anata ga kureta kotoba no kakeratachi
