-WELCOME-

Welcome to 歌詞の時!(Kashi no Toki-Lyrics Time!)

This is a blog dedicated to my translations of Japanese songs. Most of these lyrics will be GACKT lyrics, but there will be some other groups/singers as well. Enjoy!

*DISCLAIMER* My translations are 100% original, so if you feel one of your own translations was copied, it is just a coincidence of like-minded people!

If anyone notices any typos, please notify me so I can fix them as soon as possible. I am human after all. Thanks in advance!

DOOR by Kirito (キリト)

Tsukiyo ni sotto saita hanabira ga mau
The flower petals that quietly bloomed in the moonlit night, dance.
Kirei na kako no you ni chitteiku
They continue to scatter like the beautiful past.

Mou modorenai ne, ano hi ni demo dakara kirei nanda
I can’t return again, even to those days, [when things] were lovely,
The nights trembling in regret are only [for] now.

Tsumetai kaze ni fukare dakishime atta ne
With the cold wind blowing, we embraced each other.
Wasureyou toshita kizu ga hiraiteta
The wounds that we tried to forget opened.

Mou nagasenai ne, namida wa arukanakya ikenainda
[They] won’t spill anymore, [because] tears have to [move on].
Kogoenagara mo koko kara hanarenakya ikenai
[even] frozen [in place], I have to go away from here.

Yoru ga akeru yo asa wa kirai na no ni
Day will dawn, even though I hate the morning.
Kono te ni wa mada dekiru koto ga aru no kana
With these hands, I wonder if there are still things I can do.
Yoru ga akeru yo mado ga akarusugiru
Day will dawn, the window is too bright.
Doa wo akeyou kaeru basho nante iranai
Let’s open the door, [for] we don’t need things like a place to return to.

Mou nagasenai ne, namida wa tomattecha ikenainda
They won’t spill anymore, the tears have to stop.
Obienagara mo koko kara hanarenakya ikenai
[Even] being afraid, I have to go away from here.

Yoru ga akeru yo asa wa kirai na no ni
Day will dawn, even though I hate the morning.
Kono te ni wa mada nanika wo kaerareru no kana
With these hands, I wonder if there is still something that I can change.

Hanareta mirai e to kieteiku
To the [far-off] future, they continue to vanish.
